The Morning Value Service

Good

During our proofing period The Morning Value Service has made a steady profit and despite some downswings it has bounced back well without putting the starting bank in any real risk. The support is good and the cost of service is more expensive than some in the market, a years subscription would have been covered at less than £1 per point making this great value. This service is recommended by the Race Advisor.

Brief Summary: The Morning Value Service is a horse racing advisory service that provides win bets at average of 21 bets per day at average odds of 9.12.

How Much Money Do I Need To Get Started? A 250 point bankroll is recommended and staking is a 1 unit flat bet.

How Much Money Can I Make?  The service has averaged +88.71 units profit per month to BOG over the last 12 months.

How Much Time Will I Need To Make This Work? Less than 1 hour per day.

Will I Need Any Equipment To Do This? Bookmaker accounts and the ability to use oddschecker.com and to place bets.

The first proofed selection for The Morning Value Service was on the 17th April 2013 and we have, up to the time of writing, proofed 7270 selections from this service which has made +1123.02 units profit. Selections are sent over a few emails between 10:30am and 11:30am each day, and the additional Evening Value Service selection are emailed about 45mins before the evening races start.

The selections are provided 6 days a week with Sunday being the day of rest, and there are a large number of selections which average out at roughly 21 selections per day. Selections are provided with advised odds that are available at the time of receiving the email and this review is based on using BOG (Best Odds Guaranteed), you can check these out on our bookmaker review pages, and to flat one unit stakes.

The results in this review are correct at the time of writing but we will continue to proof the Morning Value Service results here.

Over the period of our proofing this service has achieved a 17% strike rate, which is a reasonable strike rate. Breaking this down into the different bet types that have been provided we can see that:

Bet Type Wins Selections Strike Rate
Back 1267 7269 17%
Lay 1 1 100%

As you can see above, all but 1 of the selections are Back bets with the exception being a winning Lay bet. This service is purely seeking those winners and the table below shows the return on investment (ROI). Looking at the bet types by ROI:

Bet Type Wins Selections Strike Rate ROI
Back 1267 7269 17% +15%
Lay 1 1 100% +26%

So, when we ask ourselves…

Does this service make a profit?

Well the answer to that is a positive yes. The service has been consistently profitable over the last 6 month with +403.92 units profit which can be seen in the screenshot below. It is important to get on at the advised odds using BOG as over the same 6 month period that profit is reduced to a +57.46 unit profit when using BFSP and even makes a loss of -209.04 units at industry SP.

Overall

Over the past 6 months the profit has been consistent and despite the rate of profit has slowing down over the last 3 months there have been no large downswings. The biggest downswing as been -110.00 units which is less than half of the recommended starting bank and this was recovered after 34 days. In order to generate a profit of £100 per day and cover the cost for a 6 month subscription, you would need to use £41 per unit point meaning a total starting bankroll of £10,250 is advised. The rate of profit has slowed down over the last 3 month but based on the proofed results I have no reason why it will not continue to generate more profit

There are currently three membership options and race advisor subscribers receive a 20% discount, £320 for 3 months, £560 for 6 months or £960 for 12 months. Prices shown include the 20% discount. The service offers a guaranteed profit of 10 / 20 / 40 points for the 3 / 6 / 12 month subscription period respectively. If this is not achieved the subscription period will be extended free of charge until the profit is achieved.

We can recommend taking either of these options as this service has shown to make a continual profitsince proofing started.

The results during the proofing period for this review are below:

We will continue to proof this services selections here, but based on the results during this proofing period, The Morning Value Service is recommended by the Race Advisor.

About Glenn Edmondson

Glenn Edmondson
I got into horse racing only a couple of years ago and it didn't take long before I was spending long into the night trying to find that next winner. All that time doing the research coming down to a one minute dash to the line really gets the adrenaline pumping and, as an engineer and skateboarder, the challenge of a puzzle and bone shaking adrenaline rushes are two things I don't think I can live without. Of course, I didn't really make much profit when I began, but over the winter I targeted my concentration into 4yo+ handicaps on the All Weather and I'm managing to slowly increase my bankroll and occasionally get a free night out.
