Carl’s daily singles
New here and bewildered with a sea of figures and no idea what I am looking at.
Trying to get thru the training vid's but taking up a lot of time.
Just wanted to thank you for your picks today.
Backed Hijack and Strong Glance to win, and they did.
I went for a place with Strong Glance which payed up at 3rd.
Certainly be following you tomorrow, an explanation as to why these picks would help.
Hi Michael glad to help with two winners today
as I’m sure you can appreciate they don’t always win the daily selections are from mainly trainer and jockey strike rates and a bit of research as to wether they handle distance going
definitely get through the training videos very informative
also do as you are and ask the forum there are some very interesting system trials going on and there is also som very knowledgable people on here
As Carl says there are some good posters on these forums. However I would be very careful following any particular selections without understanding whether their strategy is profitable over a sufficient number of selections. Everybody has good runs and bad runs.
I have done this in the past and it has usually ended up costing me money.
Completely agree Michael
it would be foolish to just back selections without understanding the process and researching results
I took a look at the lay Strat and picked out, from the speed graghs, Commander Han Fav in the Newcastle 5.30 and layed it not just to lose but not to score in the first two. Success !
I also layed Puchita 3rd Fav in the 6.30, another win.
Perhaps beginners luck or I'm on to something here.
@reyevis664 great to see you've picked a method to start with. A great way to build up is to start a thread with your lay selections, and a brief explanation of why you picked them from the speed graphs. This will help you to cement in your mind why they were chosen, and allow others to give feedback as they can see your reasoning. I won't hijack @carnewbury72 thread, but if you've got any questions then please start a new thread and let me know.
