Coral has been the third biggest bookmaker since it merged with Coral Eurobet back in 2005. A reputable name on both the high street and on-line the original company was founded by a Joe Coral in 1926. Starting out on course at local Greyhound tracks they were one of the first bookmakers to take advantage of the legislation for off-course betting outlets and opened his first shop in 1961.

Having steadily grown in presence, Coral now have over 1800 shops across the UK and 100’s more in Italy trading under the Eurobet brand. Back to the UK and their on-line presence has been enhanced by a recent sponsorship deal with the PDC.

They entice their client base by offering a free £20 bet to new customers of which they only need to deposit £5 in order to benefit. Once on board they offer many concessions to keep customers depositing including the usual Best Odds Guaranteed, price boosts and an innovative money back special should your horse fall in any UK jumps race. However, they don’t offer anything more exciting that what you would expect as standard now from your bookmaker and this lets them down.

They have recently brought out a new initiative that allows customers to bet on all of their platforms using something called a “Connect” card. This allows the player to withdraw winnings or pay money in at their local shop. This can also be used in conjunction with mobile players a market that is ever expanding and with the Connect card players are able to be more flexible and access winnings a lot more quickly. This is absolutely exceptional as it means you could win a bet online and collect the winnings up in one of their shops ten minutes later!

In terms of odds they offer competitive prices but, let themselves down by sometimes being the last bookmaker to release their odds. These types of bookmakers are known as CopyCats as their traders wait for other bookies to price up first and then use that to release a more efficient book.

Customer service offers a free phone number of which the service is open from 0700 till midnight 7 days a week. You can message them within your account area and replies are prompt. They also offer a free chat function for speedy resolutions,so with three channels of communication it’s easy to contact them and resolve any issues.
