We Hi Mick,

Have a good time in Rome. I don’t suspect the Italians are that keen on their racing but no doubt you will be able to watch it somewhere or have a VPN to get your bets on.

I had a great result in the Coral Cup with the winner (42 on betfair), 2nd (28/1)and 4th (14/1) so nice returns on the day!

Annoyingly, I will be at work all day tomorrow so won’t get a chance to watch the racing but I have been reading some analysis and stats. Eamon An Cnoic  and Didero Valois tick a lot of boxes in The Stable Plate. Azzerti / Kauto Riko / Some Buckle are the others of interest. Fingers crossed for one of them to come in!

Eamon An Cnoic and Didero Valois represent the two winning most trainers of this in last decade… 3/24 for Pipe, 3/27 for Venetia. I can’t not have a bet on Eamon An Cnoic…it’s even spelled the same (with one ‘n’) Laugh

Great work mate, hoping for a better day today

A bit of an anti-climax to finish with – just 3 second places and two other places for a loss of 4.35pts on the day (around 12.4 pts up for the festival).

Best result of the day as We Have A Dream (2nd 1t 14/1), which I had at 22/1 and I thought it had a geat chance to win.

So a loss on the last day of 5.75 points leaving me with a profit of 10.05 points for the four days.

I will take the profit over the festival and take a look back at the approach I adopted for this year, All in all i’m pretty happy as I had some hard luck stories.

As a whole I enjoyed this years festival with some great races to remember, I didn’t think the Gold Cup was a great renewal but we can’t have it all. On the downside my heart goes out to all connections who’s horses didn’t make it back.

Walking away with a profit is always good, whatever that profit is. As you say, our thoughts are with all the connections whose horses didn’t make it back.
