If you're reading this blog post, it's because you replied to my email and grabbed the password to be able to access it. You're going to be very pleased you spent those few minutes to get the password.

I'm going to keep this blog post short and sweet, and focus on showing you what I did to get horse racing results of £28.06 in just forty minutes last week.

It was the 21st October, and I found myself with a spare half an hour in the afternoon, so I thought to myself... let's take a look and see if there's any strong looking horses that we may be able to turn a quick profit on.

Here's the results...

My stakes were £25 in each of the three races, for a total investment of £75, and with a profit of £28.06, I made a return on investment of 37% in those forty minutes.

And the great news is, it wasn't complicated!
Here's How I Got The Above Horse Racing Results
First of all, I wanted a very high chance of winning. Heck, I want that anyway, but I particularly want it when I know I'm not going to be spending much time analysing the horses.

In order to get that, I decided I was going to focus on dutch bets, which meant that I wasn't looking for a single horse to win the race. I was looking for all the strongest horses, be it one, two, three or more.

How did I choose the races?

I didn't!

As I mentioned, I only had half an hour, so I simply took the next race to come, and was quite happy to walk away without placing a bet if there was nothing I was comfortable betting on.

In terms of ratings, I just used the Standard race card in the Race Advisor Pro Members Club. Which looks like this:

Next I checked to see if there were any conditions in the race which stood out as being specialist. In the above race, I'd consider that the going of Standard To Slow was specialist, after all most All Weather horses race on Standard.

When you see something like that it's great news to us, as it gives us a quick way of confirming which horses may or may not be able to cope with the ground.

But before we do that, we need to narrow the field down.

I strip out any horses with odds higher than 29/1 and who haven't had a good race recently. Then I look for the horses with a good win history.

I checked the PR Odds probabilities to see which stood out as significantly better than the rest.

You can see that in this race there are two clearly better than the rest, Foxy Forever and Enthaar, Mercenary Rose is marginal. I've also pointed out a concern for Benny And The Jets (highlighted in first image) as having such a low probability.

Enthaar is the only horse to have hit both points so far.

Next I checked the 5278 CFR rating to see which runners were in the top four.

Again Foxy Forever and Enthaar are in the top four in the above example.

Finally, before checking the odds, I used the QMPV rating (a form rating based on the last ten races) to get an idea of recent performance.

Notice there are totally different horses top rated here, which causes me a bit of concern.

Finally, I checked the live odds.

One thing gives me a reason to be concerned here.

A large proportion of the field has odds less than 9/1

That means it's almost certainly going to be competitive. You can also see that from the top four runners, they've all been highlighted at some point in the above criteria, but none of them have stood out particularly strongly.

Had the market been showing a big gap between the fourth and fifth favourite, or even the fifth and sixth, I would consider dutching the top four or five horses here.

However, that's not the case.

But we still have one last element to check, whether any of these runners has performed well under the ground conditions over a similar distance, in a similar class.

None of them do, although Wiley Post looks likely to be one of the worst performers on this ground condition, and Enthaar and Benny The Jets may perform the best. This is based on very little evidence though.

This means, for me personally, I would probably skip this race. If I was going to bet, I'd probably be looking to use Place bets on Enthaar and/or Benny The Jets if I felt that they were high enough to offer value.

Currently the four to place market shows:

As I mentioned, I would probably skip this race, but if I was going to have a bet, I'd make it a small one due to a high level of uncertainty, and split it across Enthaar and Benny And The Jets to four places. As they both have odds of over 2.00, I only need one of them to place to recover my stake, and if they both place then I'll be in profit.

But never forget, there's another race in ten minutes, so missing a race is never a problem!
In Summary
This is a quick and easy method to use if you find yourself with a few free minutes and fancy doing a quick analysis of a race just before it goes off.

Although I've used the Race Advisor Pro Members Club race cards to do this, you could use any race cards, but I'd obviously recommend you use ours!
